Julia Ditzer is a visiting graduate researcher in the Brain and Body Lab (BABLab) in the Department of Psychology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She is also pursuing her PhD in Child and Adolescent Clinical Psychology at TU Dresden, Germany. Julia earned her BSc from Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and her MSc from Leipzig University. Before beginning her doctoral studies, she conducted research as a visiting graduate scholar at Stanford University, Yale University, and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Julia's research focuses on the long-term effects of early life adversity on emotion processing and interoception, with a particular interest in how childhood neglect and abuse shape survivors' outcomes. Her work integrates self-report measures, psychophysiological assessments, and neuroimaging techniques to explore these complex relationships. Outside of academia, Julia enjoys kickboxing, swimming, and diving with sharks.
